Taken south of Ames about 20 miles. Same day as Progress 1 [link] and Progress 2 [link]I have a color version of this, but I was taking it from a poor position with respect to the sun, so the sky is extremely uninteresting. I really like the shot though, so I may wander back out and reshoot it later in the evening when the light would be better.
Converted to B&W, cropped, bordered, slight sharpening (Canon S45 will NOT focus on what I want).

Woah.. this is so odd. It looks just like a windmill shot I took in Wyoming.. and when shot for that angle IN wyoming you could get the power plant in the backgroud.. it was like deja vu.

I submitted a shot similar to this... very rural. I like these kinds of shots, but it doesn't appear that others do. I moved mine to scraps. Anyway. I like it. The black and white is good, but for rural shots like these, tones usually work well too.
