Description
Since the first Red Death Costume was created as a commission piece, once it was packed away and sent to its rightful owner there was a very large, red void in my life. So, naturally, I felt the need to make another version to keep! Halloween 2014 gave me the perfect excuse to make it.

Many of the design elements are the same, but I felt the need to do a little more embellishing in places. The hat brim and crown are larger and the cockade is full of bones and gold bullion. There is a ceremonial sash with yet more bones (most of which are real and have been painted) and a tasseled half cape hanging from one shoulder. The doublet has gold snake embossed leather bones and split sleeves with a full velvet under layer.

There are also embroidered breeches and black/red clocked stockings with buckled shoes to go with everything.
