The huge, beautiful eye is so striking against the relative paleness of the whole piece and definitely draws the viewer in to the photo. I was just taken aback when I saw this and I think that Ophelia should be very proud of the amount of emotion she can give to the viewer with just one amazingly large eye to give a feeling of fear and perhaps even shock. The composition is perfect, dead on central with the right coloured background as to suggest some type of hospital or clinic. The texture of the bandages is also something that is very important to the composition. A simple yet incredible piece!

This.. looks shockingly like Skillet's cover art for Awake.. which was put out in April of 2009... not the "mutated eye", just the concept as a whole.. head completely under wraps except for one eye, looking shocked, against a neutral background
