Let's go through the basic arguments, shall we?

- "They make the trans community look like a joke!"
The only thing that makes the trans community look bad on purpose are transphobes. If people were more accepting, than they wouldn't have a problem with nonbinary identities. Trying to appease transphobes is impossible and not a good thing. The best thing to do is to accept each other despite the transphobes,

- "They're fakers!"
While some people do go from nonbinary to binary trans, it's usually just because they didn't understand their feelings at first and try out different identities before finding on that works. However, there are tons of nonbinary individuals who are full grown adults and have been nonbinary for years and years. Also people changing their mind about being nonbinary or "going back" do not hurt the trans community. Detransitioners will exist no matter what we do. The best thing to do is to accept that they were never trans/nonbinary in the first place.

- "Science doesn't prove genders outside the binary!"
Science also doesn't disprove genders outside the binary. And even then, if someone feels a certain way and identifying that way feels good to them, than why stop them? As long as they aren't actively using that identity to hurt anyone or be against someone, than what does it matter? Is it really that bothersome to some people? Seriously, just let people be happy. Do we have to scientifically prove that short or long hair feels good for people to have before we accept it? Going for a certain career? If we don't have to scientifically prove those things, than why other things that are just as harmless that make people feel comfortable?

I can't think of any other arguments that are too popular but most of them are shit anyway so I'm not gonna bother
