mo at iron age in st louis has been working with it, and she tattooed the linework about a month ago. sunday she began the coloring and shading (hence the shiny ointment glare) in an approximately 4 hour sitting.

i absolutely love the japanese-style waves she added in for him, too.

she plans to finish up the general color and shading over the next few sittings as well as continue to work in more and more texture over finished areas to really get that gnarly cephalopod skin effect.

this was the first design i've done for someone i was able to sit in on for the inking process, it was pretty damn cool to see.
