They did this at Oceana also. What a shame this pairing will not happen again.

I will have to look back into my film to see if I have a picture.
I remember a Capt Snodgrass flying the demonstration flights in the Tomcat. They also did a three aircraft line up with a Bearcat, for some anniversary with/for Grumman.

Dale "SNORT" Snodgrass was the pilot of the Tomcat in most NAVY Lagacy Flights. However I never got to see the Tomcat/Bearcat pairing. I did see the Tomcat/Hellcat pairing once though.

I will have to go through my pictures.
The airshow flight I remember was for an anniversary, and I think at some time they had a third aircraft in the formation.

Probably a Hellcat or a Wildcat. Might could have even been a Bearcat.

I would loved to have seen all the Grumman cats together in formation. Now that would have been a sight.

Hey if that's all we've got now, at least it's better than not having any to display.

Hungry cats! I would prefer to feed the Tigercat. Tomcat has too big an appetite. I'll keep dreaming.

Nothing like two warbirds dueling it out. The Tomcat would totally win, but thats a different story.
Awesome shot! I wish that I had the kind of opportunities you have, but there is really nothing like the airshows you have up here in New York.

You have a wonderful establishment there in New York. Have you ever been to "Old Rhinebeck" aerodrome? They showcase all the great WWI fighters in an airshow they host around Labor day. I highly recommend going if you ever get the chance. Now that was REAL dogfighting!

You shouldn't be Dave, you've got more opportunities to see these kinds of rare aircraft than I do. They tend to stay fixated in the Southwestern U.S. I know there are some flying examples of the F7F around but they all live on the West coast. And I say the same thing about most of your images, I mean the modern stuff is pretty scattered throughout the country but the rare warbirds are less a common thing here in the East and you have a lot of images of rare warbirds that I can only dream about seeing....someday.

I'll let you know. I will be in Vegas the last week in March but I don't think I'll have time to get outside the city limits. I'd like to go scope out Nellis.

I'll be in the middle of launch activities for STS-132 on May 16th. Oh well maybe next year. You'll just have to cover it for me Dave!
