I've seen plenty of shots of the heritage flights and things like this, but this is by far the best one I've EVAR seen. Great capture.

Thanks Buzz. It really was a missed shot, I was suppose to compose it with both aircraft fully in frame.

Really sharp. Even at 1/1000 sec it seems unusually sharp. Were you panning along with the camera or holding still?

OpticaLLightspeed In reply to zzdevi [2009-03-19 23:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Still not as sharp as I wanted. I'll be attempting this shot again sometime this year.

f-86 is #1

voar formação é uma coisa fantastica... mas com avioes assim tao diferentes deve ser um desafio interessante!

ahaha... i completely forgot not to write in portuguese... LOL! I was saying:" Flying in formation is an amazing thing... but with aircrafts so diferentes it must be a interesting challenge! "

Sorry about that, I should probably learn some of the language of my friends from other countries other than the english speaking ones. I apologize for my limited foriegn language knowledge.

As for the dis-simularity in performance for these two aircraft I believe they are capable with in reason to perform exellent formation flying together even with the seperation of decades of flight technology between the two. And had we had a P-51 Mustang around it would have been a triple treat with all three in formation. They perform this type of Air Force heritage flights out at air shows in the Southwestern U.S. incorporating the F-22, F-15, A-10, F-4, F-86 and the P-51 all flying together in this Heratige Formation. I have never actually seen this but I have seen the photos of this and it is remarkable.

there's nothing to be sorry about!!
I've seen some of those pictures and it's definitively amazing! the thing is after flying formation (just with the little experience that i have) i can imagine that flying with different references it must be kinda "wierd" but still doable!

I'll have to see if I remember how to upload. I have the password to get in But I may have to go back to the pilots gallery and refresh myself on the correct up-load procedures.

Well I'm a little behind the technical curve when it comes to photo links on the web. How do I do that.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AJcsF In reply to OpticaLLightspeed [2009-03-20 02:47:42 +0000 UTC]

there's the simple way witch is just copy-paste the link(url) and it will apear as this : [link]
or
you can use code such as
<.a. href.="thelink-url"> the hyperlink text
remove the dots and woud shoud do fine give it a try! you gotta use the ""
if you want to know more just check this FAQ from the helpdesk
