love it, how did you avoid disproportion?

The size of the entire animal, or the individual proportions of each part (like the head being a certain size, the tail, legs, etc)? Sorry, for some reason I don't quite understand |D But for both of those things, I do a lot of sketching and make sure it looks right before doing the lineart. Naturally, I tend to draw the ears too high up on the head, so I move them down. Since I once drew a lot of long-legged animals before cats, I draw cats with long legs, but I make sure to be aware of that and shorten them in the sketch. Referencing really works wonders, too. c': Does that help...?

I think overall it is done very well; the background and leaves and colour scheme just brings out the emotions perfectly. Though I sort of get what you mean by "something about it seems off". I am not quite sure where, but it might be the hindquarters. Perhaps some of the pawpads ought to be facing upwards a little, just to show that Hawkclaw is indeed lying down and that the viewer is having a top view?

Oh, thank you so much! c: Yeah, that's a good idea, thanks. o3o I remember thinking about doing that, but apparently I disregarded it somehow. |D
