Yeh same! Hound of the Baskervilled was my first Holmes book too! Probably one of my favourites. I think The Sign of Four is probably one of my favourite ones though.

Yes, he looks evil, but I was going for a sinister look. I admire Holmes a lot, but he steps into the shadows many times, becoming obsessed and if you are not close to him, he may scare you.
I will do a less "hardcore" drawing of Sherlock one of these days, but this is the one that stays for now

that looks a bit too evil for a main hero, but that would be a wicked cool villian. i think if he didn't have such dark areas under his eyes and a less pointy chin, it would be a cool look for sherlock holmes.
