This is my latest starship, from my Star Trek AU.

It's called the U.M.D.S. Ricochet, and it is an experimental ship from Starfleet's military division, Red Squad.

Why is this ship experimental? Well, it's not because of it's design. And it's not because it's maximum warp speed of warp factor 8.25. Oh, no. It's none of those things. This ship is experimental, because it is the first ship ever to be equipped with a new kind of target seeking torpedoes. Yes, my friends… This ship has torpedoes that can seek out and destroy any target, even cloaked vessels. And this ship's crew have a favourite manoeuvre, which they call "The Ricochet", in which the ship fires one of these torpedoes, and it appears to have missed the target, and then comes right back at it, when the enemy least expect it. Therefore the ship's name… The Ricochet.

This ship is also the first in its class, which is why the class is called the Ricochet class.
