The 50,000 tons thing...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too easy. Superman can lift at least 6.6 Quintillion tons. (200 zeros, baby!)

6.6 Quintillion is 6.6 x 10E18 or 6,600,000,000,000,000,000 or 18 zeros (really 17 since the second six is taking on of their places) this is equivalent to a large asteroid say one 100-200 km in diameter. 6 followed by 200 zeros would as a value applied to tons is much greater than the mass of the entire Universe.

I think they're more or less on equal ground. Spidey is my favorite Marvel, Bats is my favorite DC. It's just a matter of which one I'm more focused on at the time.
