Because it sounded like she was getting ready to ask her to stay close to her on the way back. She's obviously scared now, and the impression I get is that the sound of the squirrel jumping on the leaves snapped her out of her joyful mood. Has she suddenly realized that they're in dangerous territory? I don't know. But in the next page Tali cuts her off, so we don't get to hear her suggestion. I call that foreshadowing, but of what I can't say. Am I off-track?
