Before anyone says anything This is a team for the past so I can do the past missions as well as the present ones . The cray cray puffball squad will still be my main team. Mission 8 just looked so awesome!

Another note, their colors are based on g/s game sprites. [link] hashtag is a shiny cyndaquil, whose flame is purple. [link] pinkbelly is a ekans, who's sprite is pink instead of purple. Hence the retro in the name.

Hashtag#

History: Hashtag was actually born in the present, to a richer family of merchents in Alomamoma Bay. He was blind the day he was born, a somewhat common gene among cyndaquil. His family had standards for him, and wanted him to grow up politely. They bought him the best clothing, and only had the best for their child. However, Hashtag completely opposed this. He constantly caused trouble everywhere he went. He always wanted to be around the "cool gangster kids" but was never allowed. He was greatly influenced by rap, which was his one way of feeling connected. He promised that one day, he would become the greatest rap star. To get this, he needed money, so he ran off to join the Merchents with an unknown partner. However, due to recent events, he was sent to the past, and met his childhood friend Pinkbelly there as well. They decided to team up for the sake of defending the village.

Abilities: Since Hashtag is blind, he sees mostly through sight and smell. When Pinkbelly "drops him a beat" (rattles his tail) He is able to sense what is around him through the vibrations. He also has a purple flame, a gene passed down by his father. This purple flame is not as hot as a normal cyndaquil's, but contains a slightly poisonous property. To apply this, he uses toxic. Also, combined with Pinkbelly's round, they make one heck of a round rap group.

Moves:
Swift: Used pretty often, as it always hits. Usually used after Pinkbelly drops a beat so he can detect a target
Smokescreen: Since he can't see, this move can put him at an advantage against other pokemon that don't have heightened senses
Toxic: Used to bring out the poisonous properties of his flame
Round: Used most often in turn with Pinkbelly to create an earpiercing rap song

Pinkbelly

History: Pinkbelly was also born in the present, in the slums of alomamoma city. Growing up, he didn't rely too much on his family, trying to gain what ever he could for himself. His older siblings helped him when in need. He grew up in solitude, and is a mon of few words. At a young age, he met Hashtag, who would always sneak out of his house to learn how to be ghetto from pinkbelly. He didn't say much at first, but after a while this unlikely pair became friends. They even made rap songs together. However, they were separated when Hashtag went off to become a merchant. Pinkbelly decided to take after him, and joined a rogue team. However, he was recently sent to the past, and there teamed up with his old friend Hashtag.

Abilities: Pinkbelly has the ability to create wicked beats using his tail. With a combination of iron tails, rounds, and rattling, he can create many different beats. His eyes and rattle also have a very slight luminous property, though it doesn't provide any use to him.

Moves:
Iron tail: Used to create a symbol crashing sound, also very helpful in battle
Earthquake: Created by slamming his powerful tail into the ground. He doesn't use this often, because he fears of hurting hashtag.
Substitute: Used most often to get away
Round: Used most often in turn with Hashtag to create an earpiercing rap song
