Wow that's a great shot. I'm surprised that they put a P-51 up with the jets because one dumb move from either one of the pilots can get the mustang in jet wash.

Oh, very nice capture. Where would this have been taken at, by any chance? Here in Florida there was an airshow that had the same configuration (Mustang, Eagle, Raptor, Warthog), and I'm curious if this was a shot from that show.

you're welcome!! yeah.. Edwards AFB would certainly be worth the trip. B-2s, F-117s, B-1s, F-22s, F-16s, U-2s, and several different transport jets. it's a flight test center too. Been the home of several famous experimental projects since the 50s. Edwards is also right by the Lockheed Production Facility and Blackbird Airpark, Palmdale branch and Plant 42. Lots of weird looking stuff flies over all the time. If you ever come out to these parts, lemme know. I'll be happy to give ya tour.

Awesome shot. That Mustang was having to bust its backside because of the jets. Wouldn't have happened to have caught the name of the 'Stang by any chance would ya?

Thank you!! Actually, the jets slowed down for the Mustang. They were flying relatively slowly. Sorry no..I didn't catch the name o the 'Stang. I got a pic of it taxiing by, but my comp decided to delete that and several others. >.<

Wings Over Houston pulled the same thing except they used a Mustang (Gunfighter), a P-47 (Tarheel Hal) and a pair of jets. The propped planes were running almost flat out and the jets not much above stall speed. I would suggest smacking the pc for the deletions but that might make it mad.

yeah..it's always funny to see planes from two very different generations flying together.
My pc already doesn't like me... which is why it deletes my pics randomly from time to time... lol
