Lighting layover suggestion for you. Think outside your lines and work with texture and contrast.
Even though you intended this to be a speedpaint, This was accomplished in under 20 minutes with airbrush blue, white and black overlay and multiple layers.

Hey! I appreciate you taking the time to do this. However, I only spend 40-60 minutes on each of these so the intention isn't really to capture form. What I am going for here is a simple light over dark or dark over light relationship and good color. The linework is really important in these speedpaints, because it carries the artwork. The intention is to describe an artwork as quickly as possible, without really painting any part of it.
