Wow... just wow. I swear Harley, you never cease to amaze me. I really like this picture you did here. It's very intriguing and eye-catching. I love how you drew the two dragons. Their anatomies are spot on (as always), and I like the shading. The eye-glow is a nice touch too.
Now to the background, I like its appearance, but I agree that it could use a tad bit of work. I think it would work better if it was a little darker, therefor it would blend into the background a little more. Because what I see is white and brown for the background, and the sky is a dark purple, so maybe the background would work more as like, a bit of a darker purple as well? Otherwise it looks great.
But back to the shading (I have one thing to suggest about it), I realized that that the shading doesn't exactly correspond to the atmosphere around them. Shading like that (on the picture), would normally occur if there was a light source around, but since there isn't a light source, I think the shading would be a little more 'transparent', if you know what I mean. and since there's not a direction that the light source is coming from, the only specific places you would need to shade would be, like, underneath things and yea
I'm bad at explaining but hopefully you get my point XD
But overall, this is a beautiful piece. I love it ;v; amazing job once again Harley!

Thank you very much!! <3
Thanks for the tips, mainly on the backround! As I said, I put it in the wrong layer (white backround) and I refused to do it all over again, so I tried to fix it. The purplish colour is actually not the sky, but a cave ceiling, thats why I added the texture, though I should have drawn more "depth" to it.
And lastly, the sahding, oh boi. Shading is my worst enemy XD When I did Tytos (on the left) I was like "yeah heck this who needs physics??" and so I did the shading on Raenis (right) the same, but then I realised it doesnt fit, but eventually went with it. Im still learning how to do this cell shading, I actually did it for the first time yesterday.
Anyways, thank ou SO SO MUCH for the tips, Im happy I can improve
Thx!
(And btw I think you overrrated this a bit compared to the flaws, but thanks! XD I really appreciate it ^^)

I'll admit, I love "The Flame and the Phoenix" myself, Tytos I will admit is an honorable wyvern. But Raenis I will be honest... is a cruel, evil dragoness that punished Onarias' family because she thinks he's a traitor. Anyways, the characters look amazing, got no tips on the background though...

I agree! Raenis is indeed cruel and I don't like her as a person.
Thank you! Oh, this is an old drawing, almost 3 years old! I think I've improved during that time so yeah I don't need much advice on this particular background anymore, but thanks anyway!

The only thing I would change is that the background seems like another texture compared to the dragons upfront which gives off an odd impression.
