Description My nankin and watercolor depiction of the Emperor of Mankind and his most trusted friends, Malcador the Sigilite and the girls from the Sisterhood of Silence.

I put some Photoshop effects to give it a better look (mostly because I drawn in A3 paper and had to scan it in two parts and put them together in PS)

Everyone in this picture is a total badass!

And what is about actual height of The Emperor, Primarch, Custodes and Astartes.

And these girls look really tall, too. Are they just tall as a very tall man or their height is superhuman?

Hahahaha, Thanks!

Well, I guess the Emperor is probably as tall as a very tall human... maybe about 6,5 or 7 feet tall, but very muscular. The Primarchs are probably taller, since they are improved versions of the Emperor (and in 40k universe, size matters a lot), maybe between 7,5 to 8 feet.

Custodes and Astartes are said to be about the height of a basketball player, but broader and more muscular, probably around 6 to 7 feet tall...

Sometimes I see artwork with them very, very taller, but it would be quite complicated, they would need special equipment for everything, from forks to toothbrushes... and the enemies just need to build their ships and fortresses with normal sized doors or low ceilings to halt any Astartes invasion

The girls are Sisters of Silence. They are not as tall as the Astartes, mostly because the genetic modifications in them needs the "Y" chromosome only men have... But it seems that anabolisers capable of increasing size do exist in 40k universe, as the Sisters of Battle/Adeptas Sororitas look quite taller than usual mortals...

So you think that many things are just Β exaggerated by myths and propagand, don't you?

So everything about the backstory can be a lie because 40K is basically "1984" in space.

P.S. Have you ever heard about "Mary Sue" term in fiction.

Empy seems to be the ultimate one.

Hahahahhahah

Yap yap

I think the Emperor is just some scientist from the Dark Age of Technology... or maybe even some hoax, created from the start to keep the galaxy united...

Or He can be a really powerful psyker. Not so godlike being as the legends say but with really awesome psychic powers.

Well, probably he is... or was...Β

I just ask myself how he got so damaged to be interned in the Golden Throne? He just seem to have lost an arm... Most Dreadnoughts and even Marneus Calgar had endured worse wounds and survived well enough...

Especially, if The Emperor was SO BADASS it seems very hard to damage Him in a such way. He must be very resistant to physical damage and able to regenerate al wounds. Maybe He was actually poisoned or infected when Horus used some Nurgle powers in the last battle?

And I'm also wondering why not a Dreadnought? Just imagine big golden dreadnought with massive psychic powers and uber-awesome weapons. Still sentinent and able to give commands.

I imagine the Emperor just "killed" himself to kill Horus... Maybe a psy recoil or something like that... It's the only explanation I can imagine...

Or, if George Lucas comes to write the final books of Horus Heresy, maybe he "Lost his will to live"...

The Emperor does not look like a suicider.Β

I think that His wounds weren't only physical. The battle between Him and Horus was also on mental, spiritual and psychic levels. Maybe He had His brains or DNA damaged or got some sort of "rapid cancer' shit because of psychic attack of Horus. Do not forget that psychic powers in 40K universe sometimes more devastating than conventional methods of killing and Horus was "gifted" by Chaos.

Well, it's the only explanation I can find...

Also, how does Horus "cut" the Emperors arm with a mace? Oo

Damn, I can't wait for the Horus Heresy series to reach this climatic battle...

Mace was a powered weapon with devastating energy field. Like a very powerful thunder hammer. So powerful that worked more like a lightsaber.

Well... but a mace smash things, and the energy field just makes it better into smashing, not cutting...Β

Maybe Horus actually used his claws?

The main problem is that we don't actually know what actually happend.

We know only that it was some sort of "Star Wars" final fight between two amazingly powerful beings.

Well, so far I have read about ten of Horus Heresy books, and I just didn't liked the one about the Space Wolves (Prospero Burns I think)... So far I have good hopes that the series keep up and the books get more and more awesome. Let's just hope the final battle is as epic as we imagine

Two giants moving on hypersonic speed, smashing each other with weapons which can destroy a tank with a one hit, throwing each other through armoured walls with telekinetic blasts...

Basically this may be like a fight between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. But with some cheats. Both Empy and Horus look on the art like 80+ level MMORPG characters. They seems to be able to teleport, move amazingly fast, be strong like Superman or Hulk, use combat magic (giant exploding fireballs able to destroy anything, blast of pure energy, tearing people apart with telekinesis). Have you ever wathed Akira (anime), Elfen Lied (another anime) and/or X-men: The Last Stand? In these movies you can see things which The Emperor also can do.

Hahahahahha, well, for the Emperor I guess he can go all Elfen Lied with his telekinetics, but I never heard of Horus being a Psyker...

I think it would be more like a fight between Superman and the Hulk. The Emperor have lots of different powers and tactics to use, but Horus is far more resilient and phisically strong

Horus is a primarch. Primarch created from the genes of the greatest human psyker ever. So even if they don't use them because of lack of special skills or if they prefer brutal melee fight - each of them seems to have a great potential due to his genetics. Horus was empowered by all 4 gods. One of them is Tzeench.

I haven't read anything except "The Last Church" yet so I can't confidently say anything. But I heard that powered armour of Horus wasn't only physical armour but also protection from psychic/magical attacks. Emperor can decapitate a person with a thought, can rip apart even a Titan or melt a tank. But He can't rip apart, incinerate or desintegrate Horus.

Now I remember that awful games The Force Unleashed...Β

The first one is just mediocre, with clumsy mechanics, nonsensical story and bad level design, but the second one is quite worse, very short and recycled, with almost no improvement. But the fun part is the cutscene were the Sith/Jedi Starkiller uses the Force to grab a Imperial Destroyer or flang TIE fighters left and right. I imagine the Emperor could do that quite easily...

Yoda was able to lift a ship with his telekinesis. The Emperor seems to be stronger than any jedi/sith ever. With genetically altered superhuman body of immense strength, agility, durability and speed (tear tanks apart, jump on the top of a skyscraper and other Marvel-style traits). Withreality warping psychic powers and mastery in each psychic discipline. His powers include telepathy and mind control, empathy and emotion manipulation (e.g. frightening enemies to death or turning His allies into raging berserkers), telekinesis, pyrokinesis, criokinesis, electrokinesis (lighting bolts like in Star Wars), biological manipulation (regeneration, reviving dead and healing wounds, stopping hearts, boiling blood, etc.), ability to see future and many not listed here. Horus may have not such variety but this doesn't make him less deadly. If you look at them you will see the difference. Emperor's armoured look (despite of Freddy-style claws usually associated with dark and evil) is very High-Fantasy-styled. Like a Paladin, Magical Knight, who combine high-level magic with physical badassery and swordsmanship.Β  Horus is "more physical", more brutal and animalistic. Emperor is Messiah, Badass Jesus With A Flaming Sword. Horus is a pure warrior concentrated on kicking the shit out of anybody and crushing to dust anything.
