STORY TIME gather around children

Fernando sighed as he just cut the last of Thor's mighty mane off. "There you go buddy," he mumbled as he petted the thick horses neck. "You sure have gained a lot of weight, eh?"

Thor snorted.
As they stood in the stall, Fernando was almost done tacking Thor up. The giant just needed his saddle and bridle. He hasn't been used much the last couple of weeks, mostly because the guys in the stable are very lazy in this time of the year. They mostly just cleaned the stable, the tack, feeding and shit like that. But today was a little cooler. Europe has one of the worst heatwaves ever. Blame global warming.
Valentino entered the cool stable (as in less warm, it's a ugly stable), having Felix on his tail on a lead."'Sup looser." the teenager greeted, and got the said horse into his stall. The new iberian was surprisengly calm, as he was the newest addition to the stable - he had only been there for two days, owned by some douchebag named Parker, whose filly is soon coming to the stable as well. Valentino got to a deal with the dude, so he gets to ride Felix two times a week for learning.
Valentino watched Felix for a bit, but when he heard grumbling from his brother, he turned in his direction. Fernando was struggling to get the girth around the overweight horse. "Working on that summerbody?" Valentino asked.
"Yeah, but I can't ride him with the saddle, he's too fat." Fernando sighed.
"I wasn't talking about the horse."
It took Fernando a few seconds, and he gave his younger brother an annoyed glance, but decided not to say anything. He lifted the saddle off Thor and went to the tackroom.

Valentino had left to get more horses in the stall for their lunch. Fernando was fighting to get the bridle on Thor. He was not fond of the bit today. "Come on, you ass, open that mouth of yours. You surely don't have problems opening it when there's food!"
A treat did the trick, and Fernando was ready to go. He wanted to ride on the outside arena, but some other equestrians were already using it, so he decided not to. Then just a trip around the stable.
