That could also be the message of Fraggle Rock, what with Jim Hensonβs dream of making the world a better if not perfect place. Coincidentally, his right-hand Frank Oz is Master Yoda himself.

Replace "Belief systems" with "they" and I agree wholeheartedly.

Meanwhile the "belief systems" acted as though "the World" was gonna "restrict your thinking and cloud your judgment..."

So. . .a 'Belief System' about denying all other Belief Systems is legit and no biased at all. . .

I suggest using this very fine filtering system
Truth and Reality | Passion and Taste
the 2 elements on each side can never cross over.Β
Done
no need to believe in anything, rather understand it and if you cant use this. Gee Gee problem solved and if you dont want to do so, you are looking for a problem not solution
Also an opinion is only YOUR personal misunderstanding of the 1st two elements
Or your personal Taste, that also is strictly personal to you and of you push your opinion on others you are total asshole.Β
If one doesnt understand the left side of the equation anyone who does is eligible to explain it to him, but without personal bias, called opinion.

I reiterate: scientific materialism. It is a religion in its own right, but a covert one.

It rejects things which might just be true to a greater extent. It also stops transitions towards other forms of scientific description...
...and then there's the blasted SJWs.

Social justice warriors.
I wish that they would just shut up, really. It's just an effort at cultural standardisation.

It is the same with scientific materialism - a giant squid of methodology wrapped around the face of the acadaemia.

The alternative is to pick and choose belief systems as convenient with the flexibility of changing clothes for the occasion. Sociopaths do this a lot - but if you can do it too, you can recognise their choice of current paradigm, using it against them, like a martial artist knowing the right moves. With any belief system, there are always flaws open to attack, but advantages too.
The first trick is to abandon your belief system, the next is to know how to swap and mix and match as desired, as required, while knowing the entire time that NONE of them are real.
