Russia really should not have withdrawn after achieving their military objectives for their ally Syria. I don't think those objectives have weakened Islamic State enough for President Assad's forces to deliver the coup de grace. If the West, Turkey and Israel wants a war against Russia and Syria to keep the region destabilized, then let it be so. Islamic State needs to be destroyed. No tear will be shed for anyone affiliated or accused of being a member of Islamic State under President Assad's witch hunt. I only support a regime that guarantees long term secular stability.

Since at least 2013 Israeli military have openly bombed Hezbollah and Syrian government targets inside Syria who were fighting at the time against ISIS and other terrorist groups like al Nusra.
December 7, 2014 the Jerusalem Post reported official UN sightings of Israeli military together with ISIS terrorist combatants. The UN peacekeeping force, UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), stationed since 1974 along the Golan Heights border between Syria and Israel, revealed that Israel had been working closely with Syrian opposition terrorists, including Al Nusra Front and IS in the Golan Heights, and "kept close contact over the past 18 months." The report was submitted to the UN Security Council. Mainstream media in the USA and the West avoided any mention of this report.
UN documents showed that the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) were maintaining regular contact with members of the Islamic State since May of 2013. The IDF stated that this was only for medical care for civilians, but the deception was broken when the UNDOF observers identified direct contact between IDF forces and ISIS soldiers, including giving medical care to ISIS fighters.

ISIS wounded have been treated by Israeli doctors. They've been given hardware from France, Germany, and the USA. While the Western government leaders make-up a big story about how necessary it is to attack ISIS, they are using ISIS as an excuse to destroy civilian and military infrastructure in Syria. Like the French did recently, made a lot of noise about attacking ISIS in revenge, but then in their actual strikes only destroyed Syrian civilian targets;

ISIS is behind ISIS. People are responsible for their own actions. Nobody, no group, no nation, nothing could make me set somebody on fire or cut a human's head off.
