Normally I'd assume permanence, but as a teacher, being unable to effectively grade your students and pass that on seems a bit counter intuitive. I guess they'll just have to take the course again next semester. Even odds if the teacher will be using her for the final exam...

Well, it's pass-fail, so it's probably an easy curve. I imagine a very frustrated bursar doing a follow up and just... seeing if the students can agree when the doll squeaked. And the teacher will absolutely be there for the next class... as a tool for the final exam, and as a display prop.
