Description 17.5"x14"
Black and White Charcoal on Rossin paper
Digitalized via camera - it did darken somewhat and is slightly distorted by perspective.

Inspired by these lovely little white moths, which sometimes have a black spot or two on their wings and beautiful furry neck ruffs and feathered antennae.

Considering putting this one up for sale on Etsy. Not immediately, though, just in case, because there's a (slight) chance I might be able to display at a semi-local art walk in the beginning of October and I'd like this to be one of the pieces if I do get a spot.

Ooooh, lovely work! The limited palette and unusual subject make this piece very appealing. Great job on the shading and contrast.

I love that you've managed to keep this obviously moth-y, but also so elegant and fantastical. This is one of the prettiest interpretations of a moth I've seen yet.

Oooh, *pretty*! Weird, but pretty. And cool. I can see this as a character in a fantasy/sci-fi film of some sort.
