Description I wasn't particularly inspired by anything, but while drawing this I thought of the Warriors book series I used to read. A place called the Moon Pool where Medicine Cats would drink and receive visions from StarClan.
/dork

I was watching some speedpainting videos and I think I did really good on this one. I tried REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD.
>.<
It took like all day to do, fo rizzles.

Oh yes! I used some brushes.
Oh what were they...
Umm.
A leaf brush and
A grass brush.
Both from this set! [link]

Haha, how come everyone I know online likes Warriors but I can't find a single person in real life? ;]
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

Hahaha, really?! I never thought to get a comment like that from anyone! xD I used to RP Warrior cats and the people I played witj were the only people I knew who read them other than me, haha.

Your welcome

Yeah, I knew ONE other person (who was from school actually) who read them, and he was the one from whom I borrowed the ones I didn't have xD

Wow this is really gorgeous. *__*
I love how things are reflected in the water, I totally would never have remembered to add that. xD

Oh thank you >w< I got a few things reflected oddly but I think it turned out okay for a first attempt. I was so focused on reflecting things that I reflected the wrong stuff

Whoo! This is great!
A couple things I noticed: You can see the reflections of mountains where I think there should be bushes, as well as branches where there should be sky. The mountains are good, but they could use a bit "more". Basically, practice and observation! You've basically nailed this level of skill, and it's time for more! Try some more adventurous, challenging concepts with more depth levels and some more details. Could be texturing, adding items, or using new perspectives. But you are totally on the right track! The perspective may be a little off, but that will come with time. I also think it's about time for you to use some more striking colour compositions. This pallet is great for this particular piece (very moody!), but looking at your gallery, I think you should venture a little bit out of your comfort zone. Maybe try gathering a few pieces you admire and trying to emulate aspects you like.
Overall, though, this is pretty wonderful. I've got very little to correct about it.

Thank you for commenting :] It really means a lot to me. I've never been too good with perspective so I'm not surprised your caught that! xD
I agree with all the points you made, thank you very much for your input! :]
Though, this kind of thing in general is outside my comfort zone, haha

The limited colors really make this work as well as the symmetrical quality.
