Title: Dream Journal Entry 2 Part 2: Taking Back Control

'You won't be allowed to stop me!' This alien voice boomed inside my head.

I had to stop her from hurting my team! The way she controlled and manipulated my body sickened me. The curtailing feeling of the wings and the blade sent sharp shivers of pain. I wasn't in control, but I'll be damned to sit back!

Every time a member of the team pined me and tried to get a hold of the device, I fought much harder internally at the alien presence.

It hurt like hell when the device was tampered with, but I'll muddle through to kick the alien bitch's ass! And when I'm done kickin' her ass, I'll kick Wesker's ass, Hojo's ass--everyone's ass is getting' kicked!

The alien bitch's wail was like an annoying 3-year-old throwing a tantrum after their favorite toy was taken away. All the more reason to whoop her psychotic ass.

It started to annoy me that my team was taking so long getting the device off my chest. But with the alien bitch stopping them at every turn, I couldn't entirely blame them.

If I could use the alien bitch's abilities, that she was using to parry Sheva's and Chris' attacks, along with the other three—Wesker had better watch his back.

I could crawl up walls like a damn licker! And fight with the sword appendage like I've seen Sephiroth do.

All that damn fire-thrower did was make the alien bitch angry and quickly heal the scorch marks it left.

As time went on, the alien bitch's presence started to dimmer and with one final pull, the device was lifted from my chest. Such sweet blessed relief from that wailing bitch. So great, that I passed out

The team was panting from exertion. Never had they faced a foe close to home. It hurt their sensibilities a little. Especially Chris, Jill was possibly captured and tortured the same way. Luckily, Hermione was still alive. The team didn't know for sure the extent of her experimentation. But what they had to endure and witness in the last few moments was terrifying.

It is possible that this is Wesker's goal. But the full extent of Wesker and this 'Jenova' were planning was beyond their current comprehension.

Sephiroth, however, knew the extent of his former 'mother's' plans. How ambitious, self-righteous, and domineering she can be. The fact that Wesker was working with her gave him great fear of what could happen to himself. Of what almost happened to him. It was a miracle that Hermione, who was more human than he was--not to mention less experimented on--was able to fend her off as much as she did.

It was Sheva that broke the tense silence, "What's all this nonsense about evolution and being worthy? What does she mean?"

Chris, however, had a scornful answer, "Something about a philosopher's stone and selecting DNA. It doesn't matter what she says; she's just a terrorist. End of story. We can't risk Uroboros getting out of here and infecting people."

"I agree," Sephiroth spoke, "Hojo is the same way. I would know. However, I doubt you want to leave your team member behind. The device planted in her has stopped the control it had."

"Do you know what exactly happened to her?" Sheva asked.

"Knowing how Hojo works, the device suppress will power. Probably needed in order for Jenova to take control more easily. It'll be difficult next time she tries to control her body."

Chris looked skeptical, "And how would you know about his 'Jenova'?"

Cloud and Zack had worried expressions on their faces. They both knew the extent of Sephiroth's 'relationship' with the scientist and Jenova. But to avoid complications, they said nothing.

Sephiroth dismissed Chris' question. "It doesn't matter. For the moment, Hermione is safe from her control. She'll be able to hold off Jenova's influence if her mental capacity is secure." He then turned to his SiC, "Fair, carry Hermione until she has regained consciousness. The rest of us will have your back."

Chris gave Sephiroth a look that meant that the conversation is not over yet. However, he remained silent on the issue.

Up in the alcove where Excella and Hojo was, Chris found some documents discussing the apparent 'success' done on Hermione.

The test subject has successfully been integrated with both the neural inhibitor and the Uroboros II-M/J virus. JENOVA tells me that she feels her connection to the test subject. More tests will have to be done to determine the extent of the connection and why the test subject was successful. However, only time will tell if the virus rejects its new host.

Along with this new discovery, I am informed that Wesker will be using this new virus instead of the original Uroboros. Evolution will thank us for this remarkable change to Homo sapiens. JENOVA will be the Queen to controlling the chosen few survivors. I highly doubt Wesker to be a viable candidate for this new stream. He has already an unstable Uroboros virus in him. He's defective and can be discarded if JENOVA permits it.

However, there is a concern. It seems my son is with the nuisance team making a ruckus. It is hard to tell if he poses any threat in blocking JENOVA's influence on the test subject. But, with his rejection and superb adaptability to JENOVA's influence; he must be eliminated. It's sad to say that he was once my prized specimen.

Chris turned to Sephiroth, "So, is this why you didn't say anything?"

Sephiroth reviewed the documents that Chris read. "What's done is done." He said cryptically.

Chris seethed, "Dammit that's not an answer! Hojo has experimented on Hermione and done things to her that you know something about! You have a connection to both him and this 'Jenova' thing! So, start talking!"

Cloud was about to say something harsh, but Sephiroth stopped him with a look.

Sephiroth turned to Chris and gave him a mean look that could burn off paint, "Let me make it clear to you Redfield, I have no more connection to Hojo and Jenova than you do. Yes, I was an experiment to Hojo when I was a small child. I have JENOVA cells within me, the same ones that was modified and placed in Hermione. I have a better understanding of them than most. But, I will not delve into the workings of madmen. I am to kill both Hojo and Jenova. Once Jenova is gone, Hermione will be free from any potential control. My team will lend our assistance until then. However, what you do with Wesker and Hermione is up to you and Sheva."

Sephiroth turned, and walked away. After a moment, Cloud fallowed him.

Zack gave the stunned Chris and Sheva a sorrowful look, "Sorry he had to do that. That part of his life is a sore spot, so I suggest you leave it be. This mission is personal to him because of it. It's personal to Cloud and me to. I understand your concerned over Hermione. But, he meant it when he said that if Jenova is destroyed Hermione won't have to worry about her taking over."

There was an unspoken question, but Sheva was brave enough to ask, "Do we have to worry about Sephiroth succumbing too?"

Zack smiled, "Nah! He's had a lifetime to build up his mental defenses against that psycho bitch. Hermione, on the other hand--well maybe a few hours. Maybe because of those defenses Sephiroth had, Hermione wore that chest-thing to suppress it. But like Seph said, I'd rather not go deep on psycho madmen."
