Well worth the times and efforts on this rather dynamic piece indeed especially the perspectives.

Interestingly, I love both the Nu Gundam and Strike Freedom, cause hey, they're Hero MS with remote weapons! That is normally the antagonist's territory and I love seeing it in the protagonist's hands.
Still, I've actually been trying to compare their given stats... and the Strike Freedom blows the Nu Gundam out of the water in pretty much every way, stat wise. Of course, since the AUs have a lot less official stats to use, I actually had to compare the Nu to the original Freedom, but even then... yeah, Cosmic Era has that era of the Universal Century trounced.

Maybe. Don't forget, the Nu Gundams funnels have their own generators, making their beams more powerful. Also, they can generate a beam barrier, something Strike Freedom can't do. Finally, the Psycoframe allows Amuro much greater control over his suit, enhancing its power when his emotions are heightened. If we factor in Amuro's almost 20 years of combat experience, combined with the fact that Newtypes can sense attacks coming, while Coordinators can't, then Nu Gundam wins. Remember, Nu Gundam moved an entire asteroid on its own.
Strike Freedom has greater offensive power, but power alone doesn't guarantee victory. Nu Gundam is a more well-rounded MS, and the Psycoframe allows the pilot to control the suit as if it were their own body. That's a kind of advantage that power alone can't overcome.

...I had not brought up their pilots when mentioning how the two Mobile Suits stacked up against each other as I was merely comparing the Mobile Suits' base stats.
I was taking the Fin Funnels, which are actually Bits due to carrying their own reactors, into account when I made that statement. Unfortunately, the Fin Funnels apparently rely on a propellant that can run out fairly quickly as shown when Amuro discards them in rapid succession during the drop of Axis. Also, other than the Fin Funnel Barrier, the Nu is solely reliant on a single physical shield for defense while the Strike Freedom not only has Trans Phase Shift on both the outer and inner frames, but a beam shield in both arms, something that the Universal Century wouldn't have until nearly thirty years after Amuro's death. This is on top of vastly superior speed... according to the stats I found, Nu Gundam has a max acceleration of 1.5 G while the Strike Freedom's predecessor has around 6.35 G acceleration; and the Strike Freedom has the Voiture Lumiere on top of at least matching that.
Twenty years? Even if you count the years Amuro was "retired", he only has fourteen years and, at best, was an instructor for new pilots for half that... I can't recall if that was ever stated. And don't sell the Cosmic Era short as not only did it have Remote Weapons before it had Gundams, but those Gundams were very responsive as well; as stated in their operating system, General Unilateral NEURO-LINK Dispersive Autonomous Maneuver. Also, where'd you get that "enhancing its power when [Amuro's] emotions were heightened" from? That was an attribute of the Biosensor, not the Psycoframe.
And speaking of their respective pilots, they are both Newtypes. Granted, I'd put Amuro as the stronger Newtype of the two, mostly because the Universal Century has more technology to enhance Newtype potential, but Kira has a lot more factors going for him; such as his Superior Evolution Element Destined Factor and his enhanced body. They are also experienced in dealing with Remote Weaponry used against them, so the Fin Funnels and DRAGOONs are pretty much a moot point if they were actually fighting each other.
Conclusively deciding if Amuro and the Nu Gundam would win against Kira and the Strike Freedom is difficult to say the least. They are both terrifyingly skilled pilots and their Mobile Suits are the best that can be made with their timeline's respective technology. However, it was not my intent to say who was the better pilot by the stats of their machine. I like Amuro and Kira and their respective MS, which will never change even as Gundam continues to soldier on.
