This wasn't meant to be a tribute to chapter 500 but after reading it I was driven to finish this up last Friday. I think Kushina is amazing and I wish we could see more of her. I love the connection she and Naruto have. Chapter 500 left me a little heartbroken and chapter 501 is set to do the same.
I find the concept of a parent's joy with their newborn child being stolen away just heart wrenching. ... even if it is fictional.
So, this is a 'if Kushina had lived' image.

I know you were trying to make him look like he was laughing but he don't look too happy. Other than that, thank God I've seen my share of fanfiction where she's alive to raise him, can't say the same about Minato though. Very heartwarming.

I was actually searching for mother/child photos while watching Naruto (creepy coincidence....) and this had me crying. I'd seen this before and loved it but right now I'm pregnant myself and this just sent me over the deep end. Its so beautiful. The detail is so rich and yet it is so soft and warm.
