Great piece of realism here--the textures on the eyes and lips are outstanding. The lighting is well done, as it makes both striking highlights and rich, black shadows.

This is great, great expression. May I ask: Is the background also in carbon pencil and if so what grade and does it glare much? Sorry for asking, I'm about get these and I'm really looking forward ot it.

Thank you, these pencils are the best, yes the background is also carbon pencil 6B grade, these Wolff's carbon pencils come in 4 grades (B,2B,4B,6B).
They do not glare or shine the are matte ,they do make a Squeak noise if you lean to heavy on them, no need to lean heavy as they are like velvet,
They are charcoal and graphite mixture so holds a good point like graphite and give jet black tones like charcoal ,the perfect pencil i love them.
