giving lux render a shot , it does take a while , almost 10 hours for this level of detail .you have to tell me if this looks any better

I really do admire the way you have the villian adorn his evil lair with images of the herione ... it both imparts a 'slimey stalker' sort of vibe but also sets up the story, and we viewers, with the expectation of what's coming next. It really is a clever way of amping up the 'peril' of the scene, particularly in the first stages ... like here, we have Supergirl having just walked into the trap, only just starting to feel the pain/weakness ... but the backdrop images show us her in peril as well! Almost double the payload.
I too have always liked the 'scattered bits of K' scenario ... sometimes that particular predicament, the girl just surrouned by little chunks of Green K, all around her, can't escape them, no single source of Kryptonite to crawl away from ... just trumps all of the others, when she's finally lying prone and in the center of them all.

I don't know how you create your images so I can't comment based on that. She does look very good.

Start the sucker when going to bed, turn off the monitor and wake up to a finished render.. It's what I do for long renders

I hear ya. I do that with long or slow downloads sometimes.

One of the advantages is that all this is done with just two lights , and there is no messing around with ambiance , you can just set the materials to be light emitters . and the downside obviously is the render time.
