Hehe, actually, I plan all kind of stuff for a long time (like start to learn more about human anatomy), but I find myself push it around all the time..

Don't see that color very often in dragons, usually you see all red dragons etc, I like how you mixed black and red, both colors compliment each other.

Lol, I see, It was hard to tell, I couldn't make out any tree trunks, so my imagination came up with people all standing and watching the dragon. You could say it's an army of trees then!

Well, there are also some tree trunks, but they are also green (I should have made them brown

On the dragon, the scales look really good. I'm not quite sure what you did, but it looks like a really great way to do scales. Nice work on the wing membranes as well.

Well, I draw every single scale one by one, as usual- only difference: This time, the scales are all rounded

Round scales take less time to draw, probably. But I usually don't think they look as good. These ones do, though.
Well, I always seem to think other people do a good job on wing membranes. The wings are the most important part of a dragon, after all!

Hmm.. Yeah, they might be finished a little bit faster, but they tend to look really fast 'sketchy'
Hehe, strangly enough, I don't really like to draw wings- they're always awfully difficult to draw, especially if the dragon flies or moves- or if it's a special perspective

Sketchy, yes... There's a few spots on this dragon that have a fast sketchy feel. I guess that can't be avoided, sometimes... XD
I didn't think about the color issue. I've never tried to draw a black dragon before. XD I don't think I would do a very good job... If it helps, I knew this was a black dragon right away.
I like to draw wings... But, yes, they can be annoying to draw. Any interesting poses always have crazy wings... XD
