Description Life restoration of the basal ornithopod Haya griva from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia. I drew it covered almost entirely in dinofuzz, which gives the illusion that it's quite thick necked and plump. Haya was quite small, no more than about 40 cm tall, about the same size as most gulls.

Thanks! It's not the very first, but one of the first. There's a few others on DA, but doing a quick Google search doesn't come up with any others.

Oh, I didnยดt know these reconstructions. In any case, we don't have enough ilustration of these Asian small dinosaurs

NBD. It's hard to do a DA (or Google) search for Haya or Haya griva, you end up with a mountain of manga and Buddhist religious art, and very few dinosaurs. And I agree, more ornithopod art please!

Thank you very much A lot of people compare "hypsilophodontids" with gazelles, and although their habits probably mirrored those of gazelles, I imagine them looking a lot more like this: the eagle-eyed love child of a kangaroo and a pheasant

It's the palpebrals, they alone de-gazelle-ify them enough.

The very short arms also de-gezelle-ify them As for the palpebrals, I'm never quite sure how to draw them on ornithischians, this is my best guess.
