This piece works well both as a statement about the original artist and about many artists in general. The pure color flowing from the Earth-like iris of the eye in the top half is a beautiful visual metaphor for the world of an artist who works with color or paint. The eye is also an interesting subject because it here acts as both mirror and window. The eye is a mirror for the artist to whom it belongs and it is a window for the viewer to see the world of that artist.

The top half of this piece is wonderfully well-rendered. The shading around the eye works well to place it firmly within the dark background by gently fading into the black surrounding it. There is lots of detail and decoration in the stylized eye, making it both a believable and unique depiction. A faint glow from the color pouring down was a good decision by the artist; it gives the image a further dash of fantasy and mystery, almost seeming like a spiritual element.

The lower half of this piece doesn't fit as well as it could with the finely detailed and well-worked eye above. The message seems to be that the artist, as a white outline without detail, is a blank canvas ready to be created and ready to create with the colors flowing from above. Because the eye above is so incredibly detailed, the striking contrast with the figure below makes the lower half of the image seem unfinished or hurried. The top and bottom halves of this piece could easily be reconciled in many ways, one of which would be to fill in the lower figure with white and paint the colors from the eye dripping down the figure's left arm, creating form and volume wherever the color touches. The other hand could also be 'fleshed out' by the color covering it.

The color spouting from the lower figure's brush seems to be a representation of the artist's creativity or artistic endeavors or goals. As it is, the color has no destination or target, turning the metaphor a bit sour. This could be remedied by providing a subject on which the color is landing, such as a canvas or even another blank figure. Another remedy for the aimless color could be to crop the right side of the image, letting the eye at the top become centered and the color lead off the side of piece, as the color at the bottom does.

Overall, this piece is divided between existence as a beautiful, detailed depiction of symbolic imagery and as an idea waiting for more work on composition and execution. Unifying and bringing it into full-bloom looks to be easily reachable with some effort.

I really like what appears to be the Earth as the iris. Very original concept. The colors running are beautiful and the silhouette is perfect.

I can't tell what's she's holding in her hand though. It looks like maybe a flashlight or a cup. Hope I'm not too far off on that one.

I'm not sure what the image is trying to say though. At first guess it might be the colors are all the different races of the world coming together, not sure. Also not sure what the two colorful clusters are at the bottom half of the picture.

Concept by Oriors here on deviantART is a rather unique piece of art work. The first thing that I can say about it is simply the fact that I have not seen very much like it if at all anything like it. I love the surreal quality that has been revealed within this piece.

Both Oriors Vision and Originality is top notch here, they have really stepped out of t he box when it came to creating this piece. There is something visually stunning about it that really makes you think.

When looking at the technique there is a small portion of room to make this better perhaps where the eye itself is concerned the fog that was placed within the eye could have been blended a little better but beyond that Orior's Concept is technically appealing.

Concept does invoke some form of emotion though I feel that the Impact of such was not nearly as successful as it could have been, however having said that... the Impact in and of itself is still rather delightful and obviously seen.

Isn't it? I know the feeling, thank you for yours as well. I know that when it comes to Critiques some people seem afraid to point out anything that they feel could be adjusted.

Wow. This is so beautiful. It may be a bit overused, (the whole "eye" concept I mean), but you give it a fresh new vibe. The detail of the Earth inside the iris, and then the person below catching the rainbow liquid that falls... MAGNIFICENT! Might I ask what program(s) you used for this?

Wow, really amazing work on this! I love how artistic and imaginative it is!
The planet for the eye is wonderful in the sense that it's subtle enough that you almost don't notice there is a mini universe in her eye until you look at it closer. I also really adore the eyelashes and the sparkles around the eye! To put it simply it's lovely! The way the colors trail down the eye and to the artist is another fun artistic spin on it. Right at the top of the puddle where it first starts to drip down I love how the colors are mixing and draping together.
All and all this is a fantastic piece. You should be very proud!

Oh wow, I really like this one. It's quite an interesting piece. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I've ever seen something like this. It's a very cool idea. All the colors go together very well, and the image does a good job of directing the eye.
