Description

In 1961 George Pal directed "Atlantis: The Lost Continent". In the movie was a crystal-energized death ray prop. This is my depiction of that device, sourced from screen grabs and studio stills. No other drawings or personal depictions were used.

5 Jan 2022 update: Having obtained a DVD of the movie I was able to capture more camera angles and higher resolution images than had been available on the 'net. Consequently, these files are updated to better accuracy. In this file the details visible in the higher-rez DVD are corrected, primarily the proportions of the crystal's supporting frame, the targeting scope, and the square bolt heads, which were previously drawn round.
