Hey there! Long time no see!

Fish out of water, or flowers in the ocean?

This piece was done in celebration of 'Earth Day.' I'm quite certain that not many knew the actual date of this holiday, nor, perhaps, it's existence!

It was on April 22. I happened to welcome this day with much enthusiasm, because it was the day that Disney was to release their new documentary/movie, "Oceans."

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see it yet, but it helped me realize that I needed to join this celebration of our gorgeous Earth as well.

It's quite a concidence, because on Earth Day, I had a chance to visit a real ocean.
The weather was perfect, the water and sky looked beautiful, the air was warm and salty...Gulf of Mexico.
Oh yes.

And then some ship had to go and leak oil all over...ugh!

I hope that we will not forget to stop and admire God's work every once and a while. Simply observing nature can nurse a pained heart, put a restless mind to rest, etc.

Done with pencil, watercolor, black fine-tip marker, acrylic.
Tweaked the brightness, saturation, and temperature for a more warm, tropical feel.

uhh, it took me quite some time to realize that people could confuse the title ( " - M A R V E L -") with something related to the MARVEL COMICS. Anyway, sorry about that, I've changed the title ... How silly of me.
