Description
Last of 10 sketches. *PHEW* See this journal entry for details. [Previous Sketch] [[link] "First Sketch]challenged me with this request. I hate sketching real people and portraits in general. I hope I did okay. I have to say that after 10 days and 10 sketches, I'm thoroughly exhausted (...well, at least my hand and eyes are...) It was fun and educational, but I'll be thinking twice before doing something like this again!

I guess I've got self-confidence issues...I grew up with typical asian parents that value academics over art. So I've always thought of my artwork as being not good enough....a tough habit to change.

lol... well, the new job is 4 10's...I wake up at 4am and work till 4:30pm, and when I get home it's a little after 5, a couple hours later I'm ready for bed, so I don't get much done. I'm tired all the time now. *sigh* But maybe sometime I'll get used to it and be more productive when I'm off.

Thank you. It's more like scribbling is all I know how to do!! Yes, the eyes are what seem to resemble Johnny Depp most (-- probably because I used a Johnny Depp reference rather than a Jack Sparrow one) -- the rest seem to be a bit "off" somehow.

Your linework is fabulous! It looks so accurate, so wonderfully alive... and I love how scribbly it looks. If you look from a farther distance (or, for me, if I'm not wearing my glasses), he looks solid and fabulous. The lines are really well-done and well-placed. Just whoah.
