Description
Frustratingly little is known of the mysterious pale white creatures of the Southern Ocean, dubbed "Ningen" by Japanese whalers and fishermen. Described in terms similar to tritons but unusually large and unpigmented they could plausibly represent a cryptic population of demi-humanoid whales adapted to cold Antarctic waters. However the lack of reliable data renders attempt to understand these animals largely futile. What little we have is based on photographic evidence that suggests they may regularly grow to be over 10 meters long, though questionable reports of much larger individuals exist.
