Well known as the Traditionalist's Pope, it was Pope Saint Pius X who recodified canon law and began to wage a war against one of the Church's oldest enemies, Modernism, which he succinctly diagnosed as incorporating elements from all other heresies. Pope Pius was also a very humble Pope, which can be seen from the comparitively few photographs of him passed down to this day. Pope Saint Pius X is my favourite Pope and there is an excellent biography concerning him, available from TAN Books, for those parties interested.
