Bio/History

Manami was the third born child of Yoshiro Sato and his wife Akane. They also bore twin sons named Takeo and Tsuyoshi. Along with her grandfather Yuu, the Sato family lived in a small but cosy home.

Her older brothers attended the ninja academy, graduating first time and continuing on to become formidable Jonin. Manami looked up to them and admired them; waiting eagerly for the day she would be able to follow in their footsteps.

One day, her brothers went away on a mission where they were to escort a feudal lord back to his homeland with a squad of fellow chuunin and Jonin. However, a resistance group who was against the feudal lord’s ideas and ideologies ambushed the small convoy, with hired thugs and rogue ninja from the surrounding lands. Though the Konoha ninja fought valiantly, they were outnumbered and overrun. The feudal lord was murdered, and the entire squad slaughtered in the bloody conflict.

After receiving the news of her beloved son’s deaths, Akane succumbed to grief, and her husband watched helplessly as she began to wither into a woman almost unrecognizable to the one that he married. Manami was also affected by the news, but tried her best to help out and take as much stress off of her mother as possible.

Things started to get back to normal until one day when Manami mentioned in passing that she wanted to apply for admission into the Ninja Academy. This decision was met with disapproval from Akane, Not wanting to potentially lose another child the way she lost Takeo and Tsuyoshi. She became cold towards Manami, however Manami still insisted on it, to do it in memory of the brothers she admired so much and continue their work. This was met with Anger from Akane, who forbid it. Strain between mother and daughter began to form. Yoshiro and Yuu felt Manami had the right to choose and follow her own path, but they would not voice it openly in fear of making Akane's condition worse.

After almost a full year, and with Akane's condition still not improving, Yoshiro decided that maybe it would be best to leave the village and relocate somewhere else in the hope that it would help Akane recover. Manami did not want to leave however, as she didn’t want to leave her grandfather alone. After a lot of thought Yoshiro allowed Manami to stay in the village. Her parents are currently in the Land of Spring. She is visited by her father every few seasons, and hopes that soon they will all be reunited.

When the time came she began attending the academy on her grandfather’s encouragement, and is now working towards becoming a skilled ninja.

Traits/Personality

She is very studious and focused when it comes to her ninja training. Respectful, Comes across as kind of shy but friendly once people get to know her, positive and encouraging, but as she is still young can be quite sensitive and self doubting at times and Sometimes lets her emotions get the better of her. Loyal and protective of friends and will try and do anything she can to help them

Sato Family crest

The Sato Family crest incorporates a leafy vine growing from between two rocks. This is too symbolise the clan’s ancestors who in earlier generations had strong ties to the Earth country, before settling in the leaf country as they do so now.

Right, now the fun story-telling part is over, thanks for viewing my pic! . I am a big Naruto fan and this is the first time I have done one of these OC characters. But it was fun so maybe I'll do more. This particular character is based on the character I use in a story-telling RPG (I like to be able to visualise characters while reading )

As for the piece itself, yeah, I know the hands SUCK! lol (Drawing hands is my worst nightmare!) Also, I know her facial expressions are pretty safe but hopefully I will work on these as anime faces aren’t my strong point yet either!
This is my first piece of work of this nature so please be kind! Pretty Please
