In 'The Other World', military never developed tanks and instead relying on 'Golem', a magic-technology powered small mecha as their cavalry. Instead, the tanks was developed by Adventurers/hunters who fighting large-sized monster that become common and need easier way to brings out heavier firepower. Originally they converting tractors to mount large-caliber rifle, and then to carry small cannon. From this the term 'Gun Carriage' is used to describe these improvised fighting vehicles.

Only in last few decades manufacturer started building purpose-build Gun Carriage, and Mellivora brand is one of more successful in market. It's light, maneuverable, reliable and by the standard is pretty well-armored with respectable punch from 30mm cannon. Original model only have two-man turret, Grand version see the front glacis moved forward to make rooms for three-man turret for 30mm canon or two-man for larger gun.
