“MATSUOKA!”

Your voice rang through the gym sending shivers down the spines of all the swimmers. From the silence created by it you could here Ai hiss. Oh~ he just knew that his favourite person was in big trouble.

Rin was coming out of the locker room when he heard your voice, and without even thinking twice, he turned around and walked back in, a stoic look on his face, trying to conceal the fear he felt inside.

But you were smarter than that. You caught a glimpse of the maroon hair and went straight for the kill.

He is so getting it this time

“Oh no don’t you dare try to run away from me” and before he even could, you were by the door to the locker room.

After months of managing a team of around 30 swimmers, you had gotten used to seeing way too much skin for comfort. So you weren’t even a bit fazed when you entered the locker area to find a few boys still changing, all of whom instantly ran out of the room, ready or not.

“What do you need (Name)?” Rin asked, uninterested

“Oh don’t even try, you know exactly why I’m here”

Rin raised an eyebrow, if only to mock you further. Now that you were standing in front of him, the fear was all gone. This always happened. For some seconds, he would forget that you were you, and got scared from you harsh tone, but as soon as you appeared in front of him, it would come crashing back, why it was that he fell in love with you in the first place.

You were so cute, there was no way that you could hurt even a fly. The way your flow (h/c) fell over your forehead, always getting a little bit messier when you were annoyed, because you had the tendency to fiddle with it to calm yourself down. You (e/c) eyes, always shining with whatever you were feeling.

To him, you were like an open canvas. One that he loved looking at.

“Stop it, don’t give me that look” you began, afraid that he was going to turn things around

“What look?” he smirked, stepping closer

“No! I’m not letting you get away with this” you stood your ground, walking towards him as if to show that you were not loosing

“But what did I do this time (Name)?” he asked, his face in complete disagreement with his words.

It was as if, although he was asking, he didn’t care less about what he had done, all he could focus on was you and your beautiful face, and the way the little frown that you give when you were angry was probably one of the cutest things that he had ever saw.

“You can’t keep waisting the team’s money like it’s nothing!” you tried to conceal your blush by talking over it, Rin was getting to you, but you didn’t want to admit it

“What do you mean?” he asked, still in trans

“I just went into the records and apparently you thought that it was a good idea to rent two buses for a day last week. What were you doing with them? Why did you not tell me? Gou told me that the guys from Iwatobi were training at the beach, and so help me god Rin, if you wasted all that money just to go play around on the sand I swea-“

Before you could even finish, he shut you up. His month felt so good, so smooth that for a second, you debated whether you should just let it go and enjoy to company of your captain. But you would be dammed if you let that happen, he would never take you seriously again.

Master all of your will power, you pushed him away. With ease he let you go, but not without giving you the best smirk possible

“You were saying?” he asked sarcastically

“I hate you” to muttered, turning away, if he was not going to answer you someone else would

“No no wait, (Name), I’m sorry” he began, taking your hand and pulling you to face him, “it’s just that you get so cute when you’re angry” he grinned, his shark teeth shining

“Seriously?” you asked, annoyed at his excuses

“I’m sorry okay? Now, what did you want to know again?” he asked, for once, paying attention

“Why the hell did you rent two buses last week Rin? The counsellor is going to murder me for this” you sighed, remembering how the council was already fed up with Rin’s rather irresponsible money decisions

“We went training with the guys…” he answered, looking away

“Rin! I told you already, you need to tell me these things beforehand! I could have arranged a cheaper way for us to get there” you exclaimed, sighing once more since he always excluded you from these decisions

“I didn’t want to bother you” he muttered

“Bother me? This is literally my job! Taking care of all of you is my job! And one that you make a lit harder with stuff like this! You know that!” you exclaimed, hating how he was giving useless excuses once more

“Okay! Okay! I didn’t want you to come!”

As you heard his words your eyes widened

“What the hell? Why wouldn’t you want me to come?” you asked, by now, getting angry again

“Cuz I didn’t want you there” he puffed, childish as ever

“Bullshit Rin”

You tried getting him to tell you the real reason, but the swimmer seemed resistant enough in talking.

“You know, if you don’t tell me I’m going to ask Ai, and I know that you tell him everything, and let me warn you Rin, that little boy is easy to crack” you said, giving him your best threatening look

“Urg, my god (Name)! I didn’t want you around the Iwatobi guys” he finally said it

For a second, you couldn’t believe your ears. It couldn’t be- No… Rin wouldn’t be this silly, right?

“Are you kidding me?”

He eyed you shyly from the corner of his eyes, but you could see that he was still annoyed

“Rin you can’t be-“

“I don’t like the way they look at you when you are there. I already have to share you with all your team, and I’m done sharing.” he puffed, like a child who was about to get his favourite toy taken away

“Share me? Rin, do you seriously think that you share me? Do you seriously think that I do this with all those guys out there?”

With that, you lips were on his. Your arms snatched around his neck for balance, and without even thinking his arms circled your small waist to bring you closer. Like a drug, Rin couldn’t get enough of you, and with every kiss and every moan he drove from you, it seemed as if he was taking another piece of your heart.

This time, you could feel a small resistance when you pushed him away, but like the romantic and respectful guy you knew he was, Rin let go of you almost entirely, only his right hand still touching the small of your back as if not to loose contact.

“Rin, you know that you are the one I want. The only one I want” you smiled kindly, trying to look into his eyes to make him understand, but the boy had his head hung down

“But you still won’t be my girlfriend…” he muttered, hurt coating his words

It hit you like a wave. His words, his tone, his expression, everything. instantly, you were regretting ever letting him down. Why did you even do it in the first place? Oh yes, shyness, not wanting people to think bad of you for dating the captain while being the manager. You always paid way too much attention to what people thought about you, and right now, you hated that.

“Rin I-“

“Please (Name), let me make you mine, only mine. I know you want it, and I’ve waited while you sorted out your own insecurities, but I can’t take it anymore” he seemed desperate, almost pleading, but you knew that Rin was much better than that.

It was not desperation that you saw in his eyes, it was love.

Without even thinking, you jumped on top of him. You knew from experience that in never failed to catch you, and right now, you would trust him with your life. in no more than a second, you were kissing again. This time, it was needed, hot, intense. As if trying to show everything that you were feeling, you kissed with with everything you had. And for once, he was the first to pull away.

Rin was a little taken aback by your display. Of course, he would never complain, but he was still confused when you started

“Yes! Okay! Yes!”

Not really understanding what you were saying his brows frowned

“I’m yours Rin, only yours”

and that was all he needs to hear.

Before he could attack with his lips once more, a voice capable of making you both shiver rang through the gym

“(LAST NAME)!”

It was the counsellor, and like a flash, the small problem that you had come to deal with popped back into your mind. Instantly, Rin let you down on your feet, and before you could even question him, he was moving towards the door.

“What are you doing?” you asked

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of him” he grinned

“What?”

“You talk too much, and the quicker I can get him out of here, the quicker we can continue this, so don’t move and inch” he said the last words as his eyes ranked all over your frame.

“My god you’re beautiful” he exhaled, moving swiftly closer to you and cupping your cheeks to bring you close for one last kiss, “and only mine” he smiled against your month, just before letting go and exiting the locker room.

And there you were, left standing by the captain you had come to love so much.
