My niece requested a drawing of a bird feeding it's babies. I'm not very good at drawing many animals so I had to look up a photo online to reference. I think this one came from Pinterest but it's a commonly reoccurring photo online so I have no idea who to credit. I wanted something more vibrant in color, that's why I settled on this specific photo. Even though the species is from the other side of the world.Related content

Thanks! This was a request from my little niece. I haven't been coloring with alcohol markers very long and I'm using off brand markers instead of Copic in this one. So the colors aren't blended very well except for on the birds. This was certainly an interesting piece to create, definitely a learning experience.

I'm no great at aminals, i need to learn more about dem. but you's know how to draw many cool things and dis painting is awesome. those birds are epic dude !

Wow, well this is a complete contrast in style. i'm glad to see you changing gears here Mitch. are we using water colour? that blue you're using is really effective. i love the appearance of the baby chicks, stretching out wide to catch a crumb of food from their tired parents. your niece requested well. i love artists that chop and change style, just adds variety to the mix. wonderful artwork, nice shift in medium which is still life, Animal Still life'' well done.

Thanks for the compliment and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm actually still using my alcohol markers here. I had to do some colour blending to get the blue I wanted but it turned out just right. I thought this piece was a nice fit to our nature talk earlier too, though it's just a coincidence and I was already almost done with it when I seen your upload

Ah, yes, that's the reason why it has a Water colour look about the piece. quite brilliant really. darn, sorry for delaying your upload Mitch. i wasn't going to upload until the weekend but i just had to get this one up. but great stuff on the Style gear change, it refreshing to see that happen with an artist you follow. This is what I love to see. Branching out is what I call it and no pun intended. From manga to actual life. An artist who tries different subjects earns great respect from me. You said it yourself... āIām not very good at drawing animals.ā So what did you do??? You drew some animals!!! I love to see this!
