Once a quite short time agoI danced in the court of the King
He smiled and clapped as did my jig
And laughed when I started to sing
But the Queen sat cold upon her throne
Unmoved by what I knew was my best
She pointed me dead, said, "Off with his head!"
To which I replied, "Maddam, surely you jest!"
No jokes for the joker.
