Description Housed deep within the laboratories of the Forge World Iracun this force lies in wait ready to unleash death in the name not of the emperor, but the Omnissiah. The tech priests of Iracun have taken it upon themselves to innovate, merging their cybernetic soldiers with the the super human power of the Astartes hoping to bring about a force more than the sum of it's parts. None beyond the project have yet laid eyes on these blasphemous monstrosities and lived.

So my Mechanicum force is coming together slowly and I decided to have an allied space Marine force to spice things up. But I find space marines a little boring so I couldn't resist a little heresy. So I give you my Prototype Skitarii Marines, I utilized unused infiltrator bits left over from my Ruststalker build. I'm very happy with how they turned out. Detail shots here .

Well...well that's uncanny. It's not that they don't work together...but boy, do those heads look uncanny on those bodies.

It's a good match, though. I would give them more cybernetic upgrades, though I am not sure how that could be done.

Thanks, glad you like them. I whould have liked to give them more upgrades too. But I was unsure as well. Giving them mechadendrites could have been an option but I thought that might make them too close to tech marines in look.

Kinda makes me think that R2-D2 has a baby with a White Scar. 😜

Qualifies definitely for the 'what?' catagory. But they're too awesome not to like anyway.

Is this even legal to use on the tabletop. Or is this just something cool for fun? Great idea either way.

Not sure honestly. Just had the idea and thought it was cool enough to make. I think it would be allowed as an ally detachment, as long as the stats for space marines are used. But I can't be Certain. They where fun to make at any rate, and I more into the modeling and painting side of things anyway.

Should be tabletop legal, and I don’t think you’ll need to use an allies detachment (assuming you’re playing 8th ed, 7th will require an allies detachment); don’t have the Adeptus Mechanicum Codex, but fairly sure all units in it have the ‘Imperium’ Faction Keyword, as do all Loyalist Marine units, which means they’re allowed to go in the same detachment together.

These remind me of the Scopedog Votoms.  I'm digging the paint job and textures of the bases

I can see that, what with the domed heads and slouched posture. Glad you enjoy them they where a blast to make.
