So is it easy to learn  digital art or did you take help from the web?

It's not easy and I learn from any source that I feel can provide me with valuable information.

sweeeeet!  I couldn't wait till this video came out.  It was totally awesome by the way!  great work!  How long does it take you on average to make one of these backgrounds?  just out of curiosity.

An hour or two, depending on the complexity.

Dang!  That's pretty quick.  How often does Daniel ask you to make backgrounds and stuff?  Like, is it a legitimate full time, paying job, or just a fun 'help out' thing?

It's a part-time job. I usually work on one or two shorts a month. Two if I'm doing backgrounds, one if I'm doing everything. And sometimes I do jobs that require a combination of the two when Daniel needs more help with animation assets so that he can animate more, like on "Pacific Rim" or the upcoming "Star Wars Episode I" short.

But yes, it's a paying job.

That's awesome.  I wish I could do animation stuff like that, but I do more of the just plain drawing aspect of art.  Much simpler.  lol
