Description This is a digital commission featuring a scene from my favorite episode of Star Trek from any series (and I've seen them all multiple times), "The Inner Light". It may be my favorite hour of television from any series, actually.

The original line art measures 9x12 inches and was drawn on Bristol art board in pencil. The final artwork was colored in Photoshop CS4 using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX.

You can watch a recording of me coloring this piece on my Ustream channel here: [link]

This is (in my opinion) the best Next Generation episode, and maybe the best episode in all of Star Trek. Other then that this is really well done, I like how you shade.

Truly one of this best episodes of Trek ever. I hate how Voyager tried to imitate it with "Memorial", and failed miserably. But then again, Voyager in general, sucked.

this was a brilliant and well done episode if not somewhat confusing due to the limited technology of the people being able to have mastered the ability to play a computer program in a organic entity but not the ability to leave their own world?
my favorite episode next to are
"Who Watches The Watchers" and "First contact" which seems a lil too well written lol

What happens in this episode just makes me shiver with amazement. Like the man didn't already possess a formidible depository of knowledge and life experience.
