Description this was the second try for ali's portrait's request.
taken from the famous picture of the 2nd fight btw ali and sonny liston, in 1965. famous by the "phantom punch" that knocked liston in the first round.
and was the winner and the painting i took to make the definitive one.
it's made on liquid watercolor (ecoline). it's dimensions are 25X37 aprox. if you're interested on it.

wow!! truly great work i've asked a few people this question but when you paint a celeb, do you need permission before you sell prints?

yes. you should have the permission of the person itself, or (even most probably) from whom bought the image rights...
but, if you are planning to sell at small scale, then it's not quite probably that some lawyer would go after you.
