All my jewelry is in stainless steel, and yes it is generally considered hypo-allergenic though occasionally you can find someone whose skin is so sensitive that they react even to it.
This torc is a neck ring, worn with the finials in front, but the term torc can mean a bracelet as well...
I'd be happy to make you a piece when you're ready.

Fantastic craft! This is beautiful. Must have taken you quite some time, especially with the steel.

Just to be precise,
It is stainless steel. Regular or mild steel rusts,so we always have to be careful about the use of these terms. Sounds a bit obsessive I know but it keeps confusion to a minimum this way.
I think the piece took about half a day.
As I say in the artists comments, The Celts are the first in the archaeological record to twist square stock. This example is called a "Ribbon Torc" because it's not exactly square stock that's twisted. It's more rectangular in section,so it has a slightly different effect. This ribbon or rectangular dimensional flatbar is easier to twist using the torch than square stock, one must be careful not to heat it too much and twist it too much because it will break. Stainless is slightly less forgiving when forged than regular or "mild"steel...
Thank you for your compliments...

I like this, but I think I like the woven one better, for wearing anyway. I think it would be slightly uncomfortable to wear one like this, though someone must have if you modeled it after an ancient pattern. Lovely work!
