[Personality]

Positive
Optimistic ;; hopeful and confident about the future / Silk isn’t one to let much get her down. Even with major setbacks, she tries to find the learn from it and find some sort of bright side. Once she’s had a little time to sit on it, that is. It’s probably from trying to be that constant smile for her brother, who’s much more timid than her.

Ambitious ;; having or showing a strong desire and determination to succeed. / Silk wants to become strong. But more than that, she wants to become the strongest, through hard work and honest training. Her mother would tell her and her brother off-handed tales about her abandoned dreams of becoming leader. Well, one day she hopes to reach that far dream- for her mother’s sake as well as her own!

Loyal ;; giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution. / Silk has loyalty to her leader, as the code says one should. And she believes her leader’s word is law, even if she may not agree. However her loyalty is just as strong to those in her inner circle. Should the two clash, not that they ever have, she would certainly be severely torn.

Neutral
Determined ;; having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change it. / once there’s something that Silk has set her mind to, there’s no backing down until she completes it. This has sometimes lead her to tricky situations- her lack of forethought in favor of obtaining her goal can get her in trouble, however well meaning her intent is.

Protective ;; having or showing a strong wish to keep someone or something safe from harm. / If you end up falling under the metaphorical umbrella of her inner circle, she would do whatever it takes to keep you safe and happy. This sometimes comes at the cost of her own expense though, most often times emotionally.

Motivational ;; designed to promote the desire or willingness to do or achieve something. / Silk wants to be the strongest, sure, but she also wants to see everyone else become as awesome as they can be too! Especially her friends and family! Though she sometimes tends to take it a little far, her heart is always in the right place.

Negative
Hasty;; the act of saying or doing things in a hurry, sometimes without the necessary care or thought / When she decides to do something, she’s determined to see it through. Unfortunately Silk also has a nasty habit of not considering the consequences that may come from her actions. Even with the best of intents, she lacks the foresight to truest think things through. She’s working on it though!

Competitive ;; having or displaying a strong desire to be more successful than others. / Silk has a tendency to get far too into whatever she’s doing, and feeling like she needs to be the best at it. If she sees someone being more successful at something, especially if it’s something she struggles with, her temper tends to flare.

Self-Conscious ;; feeling undue awareness of oneself, one's appearance, or one's actions. / Silk is used to having to uphold an image for her brother, and to a lesser extent her mother. Being the more outgoing sibling, naturally her mother’s eyes were more on her. However having the focus on her also meant having to think about her behavior, emotions, and stature all the time. It became a sort of ingrained instinct, to always be wary of how others are viewing her. Sometimes it really starts to stress her out...but of course, she doesn’t say anything.

[Sexuality & Romance]

Sexuality: Girls are Pretty
Romance: Too Flustered To Even Consider- But Maybe...

Status: Single
Currently Interested In:
Mate:
Past Mates/Flings:

Likes: Someone who is willing to take the first step, and have the patience to deal with all of her flustered acts. She's not used to thinking that someone could think of her like that, it just hasn't been one of the things on her mind so she hasn't been able to prepare herself for something like that. She also has no real clue what to do in a relationship, which flusters and frustrates her more. She doesn't want to end up like her mother, alone, though. Nevertheless, she'd love if someone would watch the sunrises with her up in the pines, and help her keep up with her intense training.
Dislikes: Someone who's going to force a relationship fast, or force her to become a mother. She loves kits sure, but the thought of having her own kinda makes her stomach twist. She doesn't want her relationship to be in the spotlight, either. Just something nice and simple, like best friends but better! Anything too advanced or serious makes her all squidgy.

[History]

Kithood [0 - 6 Moons]

When Mousestep revealed she was going to be expecting kits, it came as a bit of a shock to those around her. She had always seemed so dedicated to the clan- her friends had never so much as seen her leave alone with a tom, let alone spend enough time to find a mate in one! Sure enough though, she was due for kits much to her chagrin. And despite all of their pestering and the whispers around camp, the Molly refused to give up just who the father was- only stating that he was Shadowclan born and that no one needed to worry about it further. With her reputation previously so spotless, the rumors eventually died down. At least, until the kits were born.

Born to a tiny litter of two, she was the last to come. Her brother, Volekit, was a tom on the smaller side, who had more of the rich brown that their mother had. His mewls were small, and adorably pathetic right from the start. He proved to be a much more shy and clingy kit, but that never stopped Silk-kit from being all over her brother.

She would sometimes slip under his belly and lift him from the ground before taking off, especially if their mother was calling for them. But she was also very protective of her brother, both due to his timid nature and his size. She adored her brother, as he did her.

Rumors started up once more, questions about the father's identity coming down on Mousestep harder than ever. But even still she wouldn't budge, even snapping at a few of those she once called friends for refusing to drop the subject. Silk-kit didn't understand it at all, but what she did understand was that she needed to protect her momma! She needed to be big and strong, like Duskstar! Yeah...he was the one to look up to for sure!! But she wanted to be better, stronger! So no cat could ever make her momma cry again!
She would often profess these things aloud, with her chest puffed with pride. It always made her mother chuckle, and her brother Volepaw simply groan.

Mousestep would sometimes tell her kits about her dreams, ones she’d given up a long time ago but still warmed her nonetheless. She had dreamed one day of becoming leader, of being able to give Shadowclan an age of peace and abundant prosperity.
Silk-kit clung to these dreams with stars in her eyes, deciding early on what she must do. She had to give her mother her dream! Even if Mousestep never became leader...at least Silk-kit could try! And maybe make her mother proud!

Apprenticeship [6 - 12 Moons]

She had been hearing about a lot of crazy stuff going on in the clan lately, from Riverclan staying there (which she still didn’t really know how she felt about) up to Duskstar going missing...and she had heard whispers of horrible creatures...the thought of them terrified her, but it also excited her to some extent.
With all of these crazy happenings, it was just all the more reason for her to become as strong as she can possibly be!

The y’all molly looked forward to the day, and was almost too antsy to sleep the night before her ceremony. It was finally here, the start down her long road, her journey! She had extremely high goals, and she knew how long of a shot it was for her now...but with moons and moons of practice and dedication, she was sure she could prove her salt! And now was the first pawstep, the first wonderful day!

She loved training with her mentor, Foxfoot. She found it easy to understand the way the other taught, and found herself quickly picking up on whatever was being put in front of her. Even when she was sent on apprentice duties, she saw it as just another fun bit of training to some level and made the best out of it. Getting to know the other was nice, and finally having a proper male figure in her life lead her to lean on her mentor more than she had realized- metaphorically and physically. She grew accustomed to just being around the other, a comfort she's come to love.

There was so much excitement for her first gathering, the night leading up to it had her in all sorts of a tizzy of energy. Silkpaw just knew it was going to be something special, the young lass could feel it in her bones! After all, there was always something exciting going on at the gatherings, right?

Unfortunately, it was much more than she had bargained for.

Flames had engulfed the island before any cat could put out the heated things, the cats all in a mad scramble to get away from the heat. Good warriors were lost that night. It was a sort of sobering wake-up call for the young molly, that not all excitement was bound to be good and that there were things in this world...devastating things.

Hardly having time to recover from the event before she found herself sneaking her way out of camp, following a clanmate who was sneaking out. She lost the other not far into the forest, though she managed to track the scent close to the Riverclan border. It wasn't long before the forest had gone silent, and an eerie sense of being watched took her over. After pushing her way through one more bush she saw it, just across the smallest of clearings, staring her down. It was hideous, terrifying and huge in it's own right. Unnatural, to say the least.

And it had her frozen with fear.

It took less than half a dozen strides for the thing to get close, and only one more before the apprentice turned tail and ran. She could hear the crushing of branches below the thing's legs, closer and closer with each step before- suddenly the sound was replaced with that of inferno and the shout of cats both familiar and not. Fire...even more fire...

She was sent back to camp to evacuate, and she did as she was told through the thick smoke clogging up the forest. Silkpaw knew she had no time for fear right then, and yet it seemed to be the only thing that could keep her dragging her long legs onward. The forest was burning, and now there was nothing they could do to stop it. Her home, everything she knew, it was all going up in flames just as fast as the damn island had. And what was worse- that THING was still out there...lurking who knows where.
