Description Cancer the Crab!
Techniques:
Parallel Contour Lines
Aquatint Reduction
Hard Ground Reduction
Element: Water
Metal: Silver
Planet: Moon (According to Medieval Ignorance)
Muse-like Cancer is shy, sensitive and creative. She can have a strong personality sometimes, but then become submissive and dependent at other times.

I had to add the element silver to the ink. I went to a thrift store and bought a silver necklace and bracelet for cheap, then threw them in nitric acid. After they dissolved like a seltzer pill I mixed the solution with a baking soda solution and precipitated silver carbonate. Then I filtered the particles out with coffee filters and let the filters dry on a plate for a week.
Suffice to say it was difficult but it remains alchemically correct. The plate yielded a lot of prints before it began to wear out. The silver carbonate made the filters darken in the sun, and so far the ink has darkened as its dried- from a medium greyish blue to a dark navy blue. I am curious to see what happens, its lots of fun.

This is quite a stunning picture! Even your technique is cool, what with disolving jewelery and such. The different visual textures/lines really complete it.
