Yeah, it gets easier as I keep doing them. Even though it's still a pain with a mouse. 
KH you can probably get away with not playing, even though it's pretty fun... but FE is something that one's life can't be complete without.

Well, if you gots a PS2 on your hands now, what you must play is Tales of the Abyss. That game=omg sex. It's got these great plot twists that're really freaking unpredictable - I'm in the middle-end of the game and I have no idea where the plot is going even now. It's good stuff.

Looks like Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2. Japanese game characters mostly do look alike. If his hair was brighter and his eyes were darker, he'd resemble Vergil from Devil May Cry 3.
