Description Hehe... annother Yuki Kajiura/Kalafina inspired Fractal....

I promise, i only used the lake to cover up some fugly parts!

(The shapes are supposed to be tears, btw...)
[link] for the song itself. It is a real Tearjacker

I really like this, especially with the flood effects. They seem to really fit the Japanese garden kind of thing going on here. Great shapes as well.

oh no, believe me, I actually wish to make fractals like yours !

You do?

sure I do ! Your fractals are elegant, well balanced and detailed, with interesting shapes, colors, and a touch of nostalgic evocative emotion I started making fractals just a few months ago, so there are tons of ways I'd love to follow

Just a few months ago? You are a bloody natural! i would have guessed that you did them for longer time than me

and thanks for the kind words

I swear and believe me, I notice huge skill differences between your works and mine I'm still stuck in just a few formulas and algorithms, and I rarely tried masking...
I think I'm just a lucky one, I just found some nice tutorials and many nice people who taught me a lot of useful things !

to be honest, i think you have a much better colour and trap control than i do.

and you will be amazed if you knew how basic my stuff is

lindelokse In reply to OutsideFate [2009-08-24 21:47:25 +0000 UTC]

that's so kind of you to say I think it depends on points of view
and I just love basic stuff it's too easy to mess up instead of keeping things simple
one of my friends told me that my works were too complicated, and then I began trying to make them more simple... and I figured out he was definitely right

Smple = good. The more simpe a piece is, the more advanced it looks.

Just take a look on "Lacrimosa".... 12 layers, 3 gradinents, 1 mapping and 3 OCA's are used.

Yet, it kinda looks like i used 1232946342396489756978 layers on each shape, right?

lemme give you two little tips:
1: try formulas form the tma folders. they make really interesting shapes. (don't use trap colouring, but textures. thats how i made my recent ones.)
2: Listen to music while you make the fractals, and "replicate" the feel of it. It helps a lot

you kept it very clean in fact
I'll try tma formulas this evening then I was just looking for new ideas, indeed thank you !

how do you get the water to reflect like that? do you by chance give lessons on fractals?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OutsideFate In reply to DreamingXofXNight [2009-08-23 10:11:19 +0000 UTC]

The water thing is actually quite standard.

If you download the UltraFractal trial, son follow the build-in tutorial, you will get the exact same water
